Yoko Taro, producer Yosuke Saito, composer Keiichi Okabe, and several NieR: Automata developers appeared in a special SoulCalibur VI live stream by Dengeki, where we got to check out more of the upcoming collaboration.
You can check out some of the footage from the stream in the above embed, featuring NieR: Automata protagonist 2B against her clone with the alternate color nicknamed “2P” by Yoko Taro.
Producer Motohiro Okubo shared additional tidbits for 2B during the demonstration. One feature that is unique to her alone is that when her health is in critical condition, she changes her posture to appear fatigued. Since fans have been asking, he also wanted to share an important point—yes, 2B’s skirt is removable.
Similar to equipment on other characters, the skirt can break off as part of the Equipment Destruction feature; however, 2B has another unique feature that takes off equipment when she self destructs, as demonstrated in the footage.
2B joins as the #2 DLC from the Season Pass, and she’ll come with a variety of NieR-themed customizations, including weapons, costume, extra parts & stickers, BGM, and stage:
