PQube has revealed its next visual novel project. The company will be releasing Arc System Works’ Worldend Syndrome outside of Japan. The visual novel with romantic elements first appeared on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in Japan on August 30, 2018. However, it will only appear on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in 2019. However, digital and physical copies will be available in Europe. (It is digital-only in North America.)
In Worldend Syndrome, players follow a transfer student who has just arrived in Mihate-chou. It seems like a peaceful town by the water and his life is going well. However, he learns that everyone one hundred years, people disappear and the dead return to life. When one of the young women from his school disappears and her body is later discovered in a river, it seems like the urban legend about the town could be true. Along the way, players will also get to know his classmates Hanako Yamada, Kensuke Asagi, Maimi Kusunose, Miu Amana, and Saya Kamishiro, and teacher Kaori Yamashiro. These characters were all designed by Yuki Kato, the BlazBlue series’ lead artist.

Worldend Syndrome is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in Japan. It will come to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 worldwide in 2019. The game’s official website is now open.
