Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing is one of the most unique games ever. In the game you play as a resident in a town full of animals. You can fish, search for fossils, design clothes, sell fruit, catch bugs, collect items for your house and make friends with the other animals. That's just a sample of the depth of gameplay this game has. This game even uses the Gamecube's internal clock to set the virtual world time to real world time. Right now, Animal Crossing sells for $30 and it's worth every penny.

Mario Kart: Double Dash

All of the fun of the other Mario Kart games repackaged with some new graphical shine and LAN support. OK, so Mario Kart: Double Dash isn't going to win any awards for original gameplay, but that doesn't mean its not fun to play. If you've played any Mario Kart game before you know what to expect. On top of standard Kart racing this game offers three types of battle modes and LAN support where up to 16 people can play!

Viewtiful Joe

Quite possibly the underdog of this year, no one really knows what Viewtiful Joe is about until they try it out. The game stars Joe, who has super powers. Instead of just battling the forces of evil, Joe's goal is to do it with style. While the game is a 2D hybrid brawler the game packs the same style and polish as Devil May Cry did on the PS2. Viewtiful Joe features one of the best uses of cel shaded graphics to date and simplistic, but fun gameplay.
