The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
The Legend of Zelda: The MInish Cap was overshadowed by the new Gamecube Legend of Zelda game. While you may not have heard of this game yet, it was in development since the two Game Boy Color games Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages were released. The Minish Cap is developed by the same Capcom team that did the other two Zelda games. Link has a few new tricks up his sleeve with his new tool the Minish Cap. The cap gives Link ability to shrink, which allows him to move into small spaces and new areas. Seen in a few of these screens are some of Link's other tools such as a jar of wind and a sword that allows him to split into four (a la Four Swords Adventures). The game's graphics look like they are coming along well. To create the atmosphere of shrinking and growing the game makes ample use of the GBA's mode 7 effects. The gameplay interface has an improved interface over the Oracle titles. Instead of using the classic Zelda approach, the game uses the Ocarina of Time menu interface to show what buttons do what. The Minish Cap is set to be released later this year, so expect to hear more about the game as we do.
