Cheap Wii remotes appear at Gamecrazy?

By Spencer . April 5, 2007 . 4:50pm

Pidgetto drops a tip that the CAG community found a cheap source of semi-new Wii remotes. Semi-new is the key word because they aren’t packaged in the official plastic shell, they’re out in the open, but they’re not exactly “used” either. Supposedly these extra loose remotes are from extra copies of Wii Play that Hollywood Video purchased to rent. Since the remotes are bundled with the game, they are selling them at some Gamecrazy outlets for $29.99.

This is true, I saw like 3 “used” Wii-motes at my local Gamecrazy.

I think I would pick up my 2nd remote w/ Wii Play, but now next on to get list is Super Pape r Mario.

I just wish the big N would come up w/ their own rechargeable battery quick. The juices got sucked up like crazy by Zelda, surprisingly it lasts very long on red when playing Sonic & the Secret Rings.

Yes, the gamecrazy I work at still has 5 ‘used’ wiimotes. They are in a little cardboard box and include batteries, have never been used. At first we thought they were refurbished motes, but then found out they did come from hollywood video.

Any Nyco made a rechargeable stand for wiimotes, ones that are single, and double stands. I picked up my own doublestand for my motes about a week ago.
