We got in touch with Active Gaming Media to ask a few quick questions about some of the services Playism provides developers.
Active Gaming Media were initially based in Tokyo until 2008, after which they shifted their main headquarters to Osaka, in Japan’s Kansai region.
Active Gaming Media’s localization manager, Justin Potts, gives us his thoughts on some of the challenges Japanese developers face while considering their games for overseas release.
“In this job, if you’re a translator, you’re also an editor,” localization manager, Justin Potts, tells us.
Justin Potts from Active Gaming Media talks about what life is like inside an East to West video game localization studio in Japan, 48 hour deadlines, and how some publishers may not be aware who actually handles their game.
