Guilty Gear creator, Daisuke Ishiwatari, says that DLC and merchandise sales are affecting the way Arc System Works develop their games.
Famitsu’s list of New Year’s messages from publishers includes a note from King of Fighters developer SNK Playmore. The publisher says they plan to begin creating social games of various genres.
Fighting game developer Arc System Works also happens to be one of the biggest supporters of the Nintendo eShop.
With only three titles, the 3D games folder in the Nintendo eShop is tiny in North America. Japan’s 3D section is a tad bigger thanks to BlazBlue developer Arc System Works.

After Sega and Sammy merged, Guilty Gear became an issue. Arc System Works developed the game, but Sega Sammy Holdings owned the IP. A trademark for Guilty Gear filed by Arc System Works shows the studio reclaimed the rights to the series.
