Atelier Ayesha: Alchemist of Dusk is out this week and Tecmo Koei have released a story trailer for the game.
Siliconera got in touch with Tecmo Koei to ask about Atelier Ayesha’s lack of dual audio, and learnt that the publisher is regretful that the issue exists.
Temco Koei will publish Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk in Europe and North America. While Tecmo Koei is handling the title’s distribution, NIS America did the localization work.
Update: Atelier Ayesha’s European release will not have dual audio tracks.
While Tecmo Koei may be the U.S. publisher for Atelier Ayesha, NIS America still hold the rights to the previous Atelier games that they’ve already released.
We haven’t heard much about a North American release other than NIS America confirming they were working on the game during Anime Expo. According to the ESRB, Tecmo Koei will be the publisher for the T-rated Atelier Ayesha, though.
Tecmo Koei had two strong sellers this fiscal year. Dead or Alive 5 sold 580,000 units worldwide and Atelier Ayesha reached 120,000 units in Japan.
Tecmo Koei have provided release windows for Atelier Ayesha, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus and Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 in Europe.
Cow Paradise was just the start of Atelier Ayesha downloadable content. Dengeki PlayStation said characters Odileia and Marion can be added as party members through DLC packs.
Gust is adding a new area to Atelier Ayesha and you can get Cow Paradise for free on PlayStation Network starting on July 31. The place is a paradise for cattle, but not Ayesha since cranky cows will attack you while you’re trying to complete brand new quests.
While Gust sells some extra characters as paid DLC, they’re throwing Atelier fans a bone by extending Atelier Ayesha with a piece of free downloadable content.
We also know how much pre-orders contributed to the first-week sales of each of the PlayStation 3 Atelier games.
Project Zero 2: Wii Edition outsold the .hack Hybrid Pack, and other crazy news in this week’s sales.
NIS America confirmed they will localize Atelier Ayesha during their Anime Expo panel.
