Warner Bros. have announced finalized release dates for Batman: Arkham City for the U.S., Europe and Australia.

“Robin is a complex character and very different to Batman — it’s not a case that we’ve just reskinned him,” Rocksteady marketing game manager, Dax Ginn.

Guess what he’s trying to do (again).

The ESRB rated Batman: Arkham City and gave it a Teen rating. Save for bits of colourful dialogue, there rating summary is what you would expect.

Japan gets an “original colour variant” statue with their collector’s edition.

New Zealand-based store, Mighty Ape, is offering skins for Batman from Batman Beyond, the Earth One graphic novel and Batman: The Animated Series.

“For as much as they feel for each other, one’s on this side of the law and the one’s on the other side of the law. They can kind of hold hands over that side, but that’s about as far as we take it in this one,” Paul Dini, script writer, said to Siliconera.

Rocksteady revealed the Penguin’s inclusion in Arkham City with a new trailer at Comic-Con. Oh, and Talia’s in the game, too.

“You’re going to be able to download future episodes of it, so it’s going to be going on for quite a while,” says Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman.

Art book and Kotobukiya-produced statue, anyone?

The Riddler is a little more involved in Batman: Arkham City than he was in the previous game.

“The shaved head is inspired by cage fighters, because we thought that Robin might be doing that in his spare time to keep him on his toes,” says concept artist Kan Muftic.

Batman has to save Catwoman not once but twice within a span of ten minutes. Not that she seems too upset about it…

If you pre-order Arkham City at Best Buy, you’ll get access to Robin as a playable character in the challenge maps.
