Sega just released two trailers for Binary Domain. The video they gave Japan focuses heavily on the game’s story while the clip for the West is all about the game’s weapons.

“The design of the robots is something we’ve done over and over from the original concept,” Hiroyuki Sakamoto explained while demonstrating the game.

I asked the Sega representative about how conversation plays into the game, and he informed me that my partners all had specific feelings about me.

If a character can’t understand what you said, they’ll say something like, “Can you repeat that?”

Sega re-used the same scenes from the English trailer, edited in a different order to a much more mellow soundtrack.

The first trailer of Binary Domain shows in-game footage of shooting, boat driving, and a glimpse of the dramatic storyline Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi hopes to create.

Announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu, Binary Domain, the humans vs. robots shooter from Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, is slated for release in 2012.
