Volume 1 to debut this fall.
Bungie, the studio behind Halo and Marathon, are looking for 3D artists, animators, and programmers.
Titled Halo Legends, the anime series will be distributed by WB on DVDs and Blu-ray early next year, and will be previewable on XBLA this fall.
Starting October 31 at 12:01 AM there will be a special game type called Infection. In this mode it’s (mostly) humans versus brainless zombies. During the start of every Infection match a few people get pinned on the zombie team, but most are fighting the living dead. However, if a zombie chomps on an unlucky [...]
I've personally never been a very big fan of deathmatch style online play. I wouldn't go so far as to say I hate it, but I only really enjoy it when I'm playing with people I know. It's not the game modes, setup or my ability that bug me. No my beef is with the [...]
So there's not much to unlock in Halo 3, but if you search through the game (or go online and watch the video) there's 13 hidden skulls to find. Each one unlocks an achievement and if you get all of them, you unlock this Ninja Gaiden inspired "Hayabusa" armor to use in online multiplayer. [...]
The rumor is true. Bungie branched off from Microsoft and is moving in the direction of becoming an independent company. That doesn’t mean Bungie is about to switch gears and develop for other platforms or does it? Harold Ryan from Bungie explains, "We will continue to develop with our primary focus on Microsoft’s platforms; we [...]
This is probably a first for the video game world so it’s worth mentioning that a video game character was part of the closing bell ceremony at the NASDAQ today. Along with Master Chief members of Bungie and Shane Kim celebrated the launch of Halo 3 by reminding investors that Microsoft’s cash cow is out [...]
ThaKingRocka wanted to warn (thanks!) all the eager importers hoping to save a buck by purchasing the Hong Kong Asian version of Halo 3 that the voice acting is only in Chinese. This is the version that Play-Asia is selling for $49.99 and you may want to avoid it if you want to hear Master [...]
On September 16, nine days before Halo 3 hits stores, Microsoft is selling the Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360. The package comes with an Xbox 360, 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, Play & Charge kit, headset and exclusive Halo 3 downloadable content (theme / gamertag icons) for $399. The price is slightly more expensive [...]
Bungie is raking in the dough by shilling of Halo 3 t-shirts, figures, Mountain Dew and now a pair of laser tag guns modeled after weapons in the Halo series. You can purchase a Plasma pistol (left) for $70 or the Plasma rifle (right) for $120. Obviously these guns are way more expensive than your [...]
The single player campaign wasn’t the only thing about Halo 3 that was shown off in the behind closed doors meeting I was in earlier. I was also able to check out for the 1st time the feature they were calling “Saved Films”. This is going to be a godsend to the huge multiplayer fans [...]
Last week at E3 I had a casual chat with Brian Gerard and Frank O’Connor from Bungie. We started talking about Halo 3 and they are proud that it’s on Famitsu’s top 20 list. The Famitsu guys loved how the turrets can have a third person view. Soon the chat deviated from Halo 3’s increased [...]
Single player and a sweet in-game movie viewer. Two vastly different aspects of the Halo 3 demo but both very interesting as far as game elements. First up the single player campaign. I made it pretty clear during the Halo 3 beta that I was never huge on the multiplayer aspect of Halo 3. [...]
