Whip? Combat Cross? Nah, Dracula uses a sword. The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 trailer shows Gabriel Belmont using a blade. Konami confirmed this is a new weapon called the Void Sword.

A new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 shows Gabriel Belmont’s new form as the vampire Dracula.

Konami will be premiering a gameplay trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 during the Spike Video Game Awards.

The PC version will launch simultaneously with the console versions, and Konami mention a “2013″ release.

Konami’s upper management considered MercurySteam’s proposed direction for the series “too radical,” but Metal Gear Solid creator, Hideo Kojima, intervened.

Dave Cox also talks about the Lords of Shadow saga as a whole and a bit about Lords of Shadow 2 where players will control Dracula.

Dracula is back Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Dracula always comes back and in Lords of Shadow 2 he’s weakened and has to return to his castle to reacquire his old powers.

Not to be confused with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate for 3DS, Konami is also working on a direct sequel to MercurySteam’s Castelvania reboot.
