“At this point, I think we built a solid base for ourselves for Xbox 360 development, but that doesn’t mean we are not thinking of multiplatform expansion.”

Bullet hell shooter developer Cave is teasing an announcement this week. A teaser site dates it as November 11, 2011, but the news may come out sooner through Famitsu.
While Deathsmiles was released as a retail game, Cave decided to release the sequel Deathsmiles IIX as a digital download. The idea actually came from Microsoft who wanted to dabble with digital imports.
“We are going to keep putting out games overseas strategically,” says Cave COO, Mikio Watanabe.
Cave are giving the Xbox 360 version of Red Katana a limited edition in Japan this May.
Oh, and bug Rising Star if you want more Cave games in Europe.
Deathsmiles is approaching 100,000 copies sold between the U.S. and Japanese versions of the game.
You play as lead character, Zenya Harataki, who has lost all memory of his life prior to six years ago.
Cave contacted us about their second Xbox Live Arcade title and said Nin2-Jump’s world is based on Japanese shadow plays.
Cave are bringing their flagship shoot-em-up to the iPhone.
Cave are developing an adventure game, but we don’t know for what platform.
Nin2-Jump may be a sidescroller but it sure looks like it was made by Cave.
