Social games company, GREE, will work with other publishers to establish a set of guidelines for social games, in order to pre-empt potential regulation by the Japanese government.

Perhaps, this is a side effect from defeating Magic Man and stealing his power, but Mega Man’s next game is, believe it or not, Mega Man Solitaire.

Monster Hunter, a social game in its own right, is getting a social game spin-off. Capcom made Monster Hunter Card Master with Everyone for Mobage. Instead of hunting, you’ll maintain a deck of cards with artwork and monsters from the entire series.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy social game is a hit. Final Fantasy Brigade launched on January 6 and today the game has one million members.

Namco Bandai is successfully releasing social games too with ten million registered accounts for their entire lineup.

When we last checked on Persona 3 Social, the game surpassed 500,000 members in just two months. That was back in October 2010.

Lelouch’s rebellion is about to get social. Namco Bandai announced a Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion game for Mobage slated for release this spring.

Nippon Ichi, developer of the Disgaea series, is expanding into social games. The company opened subsidiary in Japan called Dion Entertainment that will focus on social games as well as online games.

The next game in the series will be released almost a decade after Unlimited Saga. Square Enix has Emperors SaGa for GREE slated for a summer 2012 release.

Final Fantasy Brigade has a simple story to get players started. An ancient kingdom responsible for guarding crystals was invaded by monsters. The crystals lost their radiance and now its your job to restore their luster.

HyperDevbox specializes in PSP to Android conversions. They ported Spectral Souls earlier this year and just finished work on Generation of Chaos.
