Painting app Colors! 3D is getting an update on April 5th.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, Planet Crashers, and a discount sale for Colors! 3D are this week’s Nintendo eShop highlights.

Colors! and Colors! 3D creator, Jens Andersson, tells us about the creation of the app, as well as future updates and plans to bring it to platforms like the PlayStation Vita and Wii U.

Colors! 3D provides you with the basic tools to create most art—the brush with a size and opacity adjuster, 3 different brush types, zoom, layer control, scrolling, eye dropper, and more.

Colors! 3D will be released sometime in early 2012, and as the title suggests, you’ll be able to create 3D paintings with it.

Colors!, a piece of Nintendo DS homebrew software is getting a legitimate release as a Nintendo 3DS eShop app.
