Sorry, if you were hoping for a Dissidia style crossover fighting game. .hack//Link is an action RPG based off the manga of the same name.

The Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Accel 3 Tokyo Game Show trailer gets straight to the action. After introducing newcomers like Suigetsu, Obito, and young Kakashi it’s all special attacks.

CyberConnect2 is throwing a .hack reunion on the PSP. It’s called .hack//Link and it’s dated for February 2010.

Taking a cue from the Clash of Ninja series, Naruto: Narultimate Accel 3 introduces four player battles. You can test Naruto’s rasengan against in 2 vs. 2 and 3 vs. 1 fights.

The latest Naruto game from CyberConnect2 adds pre-Sharingan Kakashi and Obito.

The PlayStation 2 isn’t quite done yet. Namco Bandai plans to release Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5, a localized version of Naruto Shippuden: Narultimate Accel 2, in Europe this November.

CC2 now have two mystery projects. The first is likely a Tail Concerto or .hack game (or both) for the DS. The second is…well, we don’t know what it is, but it doesn’t look like .hack.

We saw screenshots of .hack//Link before. Now you can see the game in motion. A tiny bit of footage shows Tokio teaming up with past characters like Haseo.
 
Namco Bandai still hasn’t set a date for .hack//Link and since this clip only has a smidgen of gameplay I wouldn’t expect .hack//Link to come out anytime [...]

No surprise here unless you were expecting two CyberConnect2 games revealed in a row or something. Sometime in the future .hack//Link is coming to the PSP and the judging by the silhouettes we’re going to see a lot of returning characters from the .hack series. .hack//Link is going to be like .hack//Series Reunion.
