Update: Mystery solved! This is the European name for Dance Masters.
Konami isn’t giving up on beat tapping rhythm games. In fact, the publisher is focusing on genre between now and March 31, 2011.
Before fitness games were all the rage, Konami released almost a dozen Dance Dance Revolution games with workout modes. The latest iteration for Wii, simply called Dance Dance Revolution, takes this in a new direction.
The cryptic Metal Gear Solid game is Metal Gear Solid Touch and it’s based on MGS 4. Players move Solid Snake with the touch screen and judging from these screenshots Metal Gear Solid Touch looks like a light gun game without a gun. Metal Gear Solid Touch comes out this spring and has eight stages. [...]
Seriously, Konami? To be fair this version of DDR isn’t targeting the core Dance Dance Revolution market. This game is using a license to expand the series like Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Rave and it’s upcoming predecessor Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Grooves. Dance Dance Revolution: Winx Club popped up on the the USK, Germany’s ESRB, [...]
Times have changed. Cheap plastic toys aren’t as commonly found in the bottom of cereal, but Post remembers the good old days. If you purchase two boxes of Cocoa Pebbles and give them $5 for shipping you can get an eight button USB dance mat for your PC. The accessory is designed to work with [...]
Konami announced Dance Dance Revolution X at their Gamer’s Day as a PlayStation 2 game. In Japan, an arcade version is due out in the future too. A teaser page for the arcade machine is online without any song list. Confirmed songs in the US PS2 release include “Poseidon” from Naoki underground, “Taj He Spitz” [...]
Just like last year Konami is preparing three Dance Dance Revolution games. The PlayStation 2, Wii and Xbox 360 each get one. Before the announcement we discovered two of them DDR X (PS2) and Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 (Wii). Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 was the one we missed, but I’m sure [...]
I think we can all count on Konami to develop new mixes of Dance Dance Revolution. The uncertainty lies in the platform(s) Konami will release them on. Gamefly provides a tiny clue with listings for two unannounced DDR games. DDR X is for PlayStation 2 and Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 is for the [...]
A few months ago I pointed out the theme song for Time Hollow would be part of Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA 2 Super Dream (i.e. the Japanese version of SuperNOVA 2). Now we have a look at the video and surprisingly it has new animated footage of Horo Tokio making time holes with the hollow [...]
Dance Dance Revolution exploded on the PlayStation 2 and Konami released tons of DDR games in North America. Starting next month, DDRMax 2 and Dance Dance Revolution Extreme (US version) are joining the budget priced Greatest Hits collection. I haven’t seen copies of the US version of DDRMax 2 in retail stores for some time [...]
Remember the Time Hollow Tokyo Game Show trailer? The vocal, opening theme is going to appear in the Japanese version of Dance Dance Revolution SuperNova 2. I suppose this isn’t out of the blue because Konami often shuffles song lists between regions and they trickle in video game music. However, it does seem early for [...]
In this past Sunday’s episode, Bart wanders off into a new comic book store where the owner is seen playing Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution simultaneously. This isn’t the first time the Simpsons touched on video games. Last season the show poked fun at Grand Theft Auto and a much older episode had a [...]
Since Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party is designed as a more social version of DDR I thought it was best to play it with at least one more person. I’m lucky enough to have two mats since the Mario Mix mat works a-OK. Let’s take a look at the song list first. Dance Dance Revolution: [...]
