I spent 12 hours with Dead or Alive 5+ in various training modes, combo challenges, going through story, and increasingly difficult arcade, survival, and time attack modes, all to no avail.

The upcoming demo for Dead or Alive 5 Plus will be packed full of features and Tecmo Koei detailed them today.

When Dead or Alive 5 Plus comes out in two weeks, players will be able to try the game before picking it up. Famitsu reports Tecmo Koei will release a downloadable demo when the game launches in Japan.

Dead or Alive 5 Plus also has a Touch Fight mode where you attack characters with taps and swipes using the Vita’s touchscreen.

Tecmo Koei have shared the full list of PS3/Vita functionality for Dead or Alive 5, and say cross-platform battles between the two versions will run at 60fps.

That means the Paradise costumes included with first print copies of Dead or Alive 5 Plus will be enabled on the PS3 version and you can use all of those Santa costumes on the Vita.

Tecmo Koei plans on releasing Dead or Alive 5+ for PlayStation Vita in March and you can get it with a copy of the PlayStation 3 game.

Like costumes? Dead or Alive 5 Plus also has a bonus cheerleader costumes for Tina, Ayane, and Kasumi bundled with first print copies of the game. As of now, this bonus has not been announced for North America.

Dead or Alive 5 Plus on the PlayStation Vita has new features like a Touch Play mode, where you can flick and pinch your opponent to damage them.

In terms of Vita-specific features, Tecmo Koei mention you can “interact directly with the characters using the Vita’s touch screens”.
