Fans of other Dengeki Bunko light novels such as Spice and Wolf, Boogiepop Phantom, and Hataraku Maou-sama! will also have something to look forward to, in the recently revealed support characters.

Shizuo from Durarara!! is known for his power, and will be demonstrating it by using traffic signs as regular attacks to hit nearby opponents in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax.

This extended trailer for Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax shows Accel World’s Kuroyukihime giving Asuna from Sword Art Online a beatdown with help from Black Lotus.

Director Terada mentions that the concept for the game is to not only have serious battles, but to be able to say “Let’s be excited and fight among each other, as fans!” He would like for the players to consider it as a party for Dengeki Bunko.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax has added two more characters to its roster, and yes, as expected, one them is from the Durarara!! franchise.

Also, Touma Kamijou (A Certain Magical Index), Leafa (Sword Art Online), Kuroneko (My Little Sister), and Wilhelmina (Shana) are support characters.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax isn’t the only game based on Dengeki’s publications that is being shown soon.

Sega unveiled a Dengeki Bunko vs. Sega fighting game project at Tokyo Game Show, but it wasn’t playable there. Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax will be shown during the Dengeki Bunko 2013 Autumn Festival on October 6 and it will be playable.

Sega is getting into the ring with another fighting game, but it’s not a Virtua Fighter or even Fighting Vipers sequel. Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is 2D fighting game with Dengeki Bunko characters vs. Sega characters.
