While Capcom usually gets help from Microsoft with launch events, Sony is giving Capcom a promotional boost for DmC Devil May Cry.
Capcom show off the various DmC Devil May Cry weapon packs you’ll get for pre-ordering the game at different stores.
A new trailer for DmC Devil May Cry makes mention of Dante’s dad.
The DmC Devil May Cry demo I played at PAX had two new skills unlocked and a number of refinements from the E3 build.
“It seems that Western games tend to focus a lot on realism in animation,” DmC Devil May Cry co-producer, Motohide Eshiro, feels.
Dante comes face-to-head with slanderous demon newscaster, Bob Barbas.
The new footage shows off Dante’s new gauntlet weapons, and how they can be used in the game’s multi-weapon combos.
New play footage showing off how you can switch between different weapons during combos, cancelling, and talk of the possibilities for high-level play.
Dante, the new Dante from DmC, will make his playable debut in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. It looks like Dante has similar moves and weapons like the angelic scythe from Ninja Theory’s design.
He’s also the head of The Order, which recruits Dante to their cause in order to combat demons better.
Capcom USA say: “Though they meet as friends, the trailer suggests conflicting methods right away.”
“When people actually get to play it or see more of it they will understand its a proper DMC in every sense of the word. It’s difficult to get that across with screenshots and without getting more people to play it.
“Largely what Ninja Theory has been known for is what we’ve been impressed – the quality of visuals, the cinematic camerawork, facial animations, and their tech is really good. We learned some things there,” producer Motohide Eshiro answered.
A new trailer that shows off some platforming segments from the game mixed with combat.
Both groups have composed new music that will play during the game, and Capcom have licensed Combichrist’s catalogue tracks to add to the game as well.
Ninja Theory’s Creative Director, Tameem Antoniades, tells us why Dante is part demon and part angel.
