Last week’s biggest release in Japan was, of course, Dragon Quest X for the Wii.
It sounds like Dragon Quest X is pretty busy since Square Enix added servers 21 – 40 earlier today. That gives the Wii RPG twice the amount of servers running the game.
Weak console game sales were the cause of a $26.5 million loss incurred by Square Enix in their three-month quarter ended June 30th.
Nintendo presents the longest look at Dragon Quest X yet a 35 minute play/Q&A session with of the creators.

On July 24, bottles of Pepsi Nex (essentially, Pepsi Zero for Japan) will include a collectable Dragon Quest X monster. Classic creatures like the Slime and Dracky are available alongside new monsters for Waking of the Five Tribes.
Every single day, Dragon Quest X owners will be able to play the game online for free for two hours, without requiring a subscription.
Nintendo is also bundling the game with a brand new black Wii, Classic Controller Pro, USB Memory drive, and a 1,000 yen Nintendo prepaid point card.
Square Enix is making new plushies for Dragon Quest X and these two monsters also come with an in-game bonus.
Arcade stick maker Hori created a slime blue keyboard with a smiling space bar.
If you want to dress your Dragon Quest X avatar in a Dracky shirt you’ll need Square Enix’s special flash drive.
Final Fantasy Brigade has racked up over 2 million users since its January launch.
You need a 16 GB flash drive to play Dragon Quest X. You don’t need to buy it from Square Enix… unless you want a Momon hat for your Dragon Quest X avatar.
