Keep in mind, however, that this number only covers five days worth of sales data.
This represents the first time since July 2010 that a PC-only game has been the top-selling title for any given month.
The game saw an 86% sellthrough on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Capcom’s brand new series enjoyed a great first-week debut in Japan, while Mario Tennis Open came in at the #2 spot.
Capcom’s Chairman and CEO, Kenzo Tsujimoto, aims to turn the company into the world’s #1 provider of digital content by 2022.
Dragon’s Dogma’s combat isn’t quite Devil May Cry, but it’s the closest I’ve experienced within this genre.
“We have been listening to your comments and as such have begun the process of re-evaluating how such additional game content is delivered in the future,” says Capcom’s Christian Svensson.
“If it’s vital information, pawns and the occupants of the town will come tell you of their own volition,” writes director, Hideaki Itsuno.
Capcom have some very high expectations for sales of Resident Evil 6.
