“We’ll include a layering function in Version 2. First, you can draw a rough sketch as one layer, then you can place another layer over it to polish it off.”

The project went through several phases before being finalized. It was initially intended to be a tool to help take notes, and Koizumi and Shimizu considered developing a WiiWare application that would be transmitted to the DS in a manner similar to downloadable DS demos.

Dragon Quest Wars drops the story and gets straight to the heart of any good strategy game… combat. The game begins with a slime sitting in the middle of a menu screen. You can pick him up and drag him to the option menu or a ten stage training mode.
