D3 Publisher’s quirky and often experimental Simple Series is heading to the Nintendo DSi shop. D3 will release a three level version of Simple DS Series Vol. 45: Escape from the Secret Room 2 as a DSiWare game in Japan.

In just a few weeks Square Enix will release Dragon Quest Wars on DSiWare. Fire Emblem developers Intelligent Systems created Dragon Quest Wars as a simplified strategy RPG with colorful slimes.

At E3 I discovered Natsume was experimenting with the Nintendo DSi’s unique features with a little title called Cheer We Go. It’s a stylus controlled rhythm game with cheerleaders… wait come back!

A game that flew completely under my radar was Reflections, a DSiWare game published by Konami. It’s a platformer with an interesting mechanic.

Aside from releasing a few games on the Virtual Console, Atlus Japan hasn’t done much with digital distribution. Covertly, they were working Itsudemo Purikura Kiradeko Premium for DSiWare.

We don’t have it yet, but when Moving Memo Pad comes stateside it will have more community features and scribble mail. Moving Memo Pad version 2 lets users jot messages with the touch screen and send them directly to another user.

Alone the Wii no Ma channel and the Nintendo DSi are decent enough.
