But, not for long. They’re giving it away.
Sony just made Final Fantasy Tactics – the PsOne version a downloadable PlayStation Classic. You can get it for $9.99 on the PlayStation Store and summon “Rich”.
Continuing their trend of releasing Final Fantasy games as PlayStation Archive downloads Square Enix put Final Fantasy Tactics online. Not Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, the original PsOne game.
Having since decided that joining your clan will prove more profitable than occasionally swindling the party of its loot, Adelle joins Luso in a trip to the Moorabella pub to check in on rumors of drifting sky pirates. As in Final Fantasy XII, air travel can be booked at an aerodrome location. Visiting the the [...]
As with the previous title in the series, the spiritual successor to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, subtitled "Grimoire of the Rift," finds a school-aged boy transported from a familiar earthbound existence to a magical setting of swords and sorcery. In contrast to The War of the Lions, Luso's tale is light on suspense and intrigue, [...]
I always imagined Square Enix localizing Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon: Toki Wasure No Meikyuu for North Americar, but if you had any doubts look at Gamefly. They have a listing up for the Nintendo Wii dungeon RPG under a new title, Final Fantasy: Chocobo Dungeon. It is strange that the game is not using [...]
Square-Enix sent over a batch of new screenshots from the English version of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War. Most of them are battle pictures, but a handful of screens show how the new translation is progressing. For starters Algus has a new name, Argath, and his dialogue reminds me of a condescending noble. [...]
Balthier already had a cameo in a Final Fantasy Tactics game. Now it’s Vaan and Penelo’s turn to act as guest characters. In Final Fantasy Tactics A2 they look a little older and they each have special jobs. Vaan is a sky pirate and one of his skills acts like mug (capture in Final Fantasy [...]
Square-Enix is adding a nice touch to Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions by adding in voice acting for the cutscenes. Way back at E3 I got to catch a trailer reel and hear Ramza’s voice for the first time and now you can too. This clip is from a cutscene at Orbonne [...]
As expected Final Fantasy A2 is going to have new jobs and Famitsu has the scoop on what to expect. On the top left hand corner is the new Hume job, Youjinbou, a brand new sword wielding class. Bangaas have the cannoneer class, which was first introduced in Final Fantasy V Advance. With the help [...]
It’s one of the best strategy RPGs ever created and today is its tenth birthday. When Squaresoft took a gamble releasing Final Fantasy Tactics in 1998 they probably didn’t expect it be such a hit. Copies flew off store shelves and for a few years after its release it was a “rare” game commanding [...]
Square-Enix put the Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire trailer from the Square-Enix party online. Head over to the official site (fixed) and click on “movie” (it’s the forth option from the left spelled as ムービー in katakana). The trailer shows Luso the protagonist who opens the book to Ivalice, Adel, Cid, a demi-human [...]
Jeux-France seems to be on a roll. First, they had some nifty scans for It’s A Wonderful World; now they have some more scans for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: The Sealed Grimoire. Though there isn’t exactly a concrete release date for FFTA2 in Japan or in the U.S., the idea of even knowing this [...]
So how does Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy Tactics, FF: Tactics Advance and FF: Tactics A2 the Sealed Grimoire come together? All of these games are set in Ivalice, the fantasy world introduced in Final Fantasy Tactics and it looks like most of the mashing up is going to happen in the PSP remake. First [...]
