Square Enix has a trio of nostalgic Final Fantasy CDs in the works. Final Fantasy IV Original Soundtrack Remaster Version is slated for release on July 3.
Matrix Software was one of the powerhouses behind the surge of RPGs for the DS. These days Matrix Software has been focusing on smartphone development.
Final Fantasy V for iOS is really Final Fantasy V Advance so you have the Cannoneer, Gladiator, Oracle, and Necromancer plus a super boss to defeat that’s more powerful than Omega.
Square Enix is promoting the port with a crossover in another iOS title, Guardian Cross. Starting on March 26, players will be able to hunt Guardians from Final Fantasy V.
Instead of giving Final Fantasy V a full 3D remake, Square Enix is porting the Game Boy Advance version to iOS and Android. Final Fantasy V Advance added new bosses like Enuo and four job classes: Necromancer, Cannoneer, Oracle, and Gladiator.
Final Fantasy V is headed to smartphones later this month.

As part of Square Enix’s launch plan for Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy, the publisher will re-release Final Fantasy V as a digital download.
Get ready for… Gilgamesh! Next month, Final Fantasy V will be re-released as a Virtual Console download in Japan.
