Square Enix have shared brand new alpha footage of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which shows two characters exploring the city-state of Gridarnia.

The development team has begun taking in player feedback, Final Fantasy XIV producer, Naoki Yoshida, reports.

Square Enix have provided a first look at the character creation that you’ll have access to in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Producer, Naoki Yoshida, also uploaded a few new screenshots of the game that the development team took during server stress tests.

Square Enix is overhauling every component of Final Fantasy XIV including the character creator.

Square Enix sent over some new Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn screenshots showing the PlayStation 3 version. Final Fantasy XIV has a different interface on PS3 with 16 total command slots.

Famitsu has a little information about the PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy XIV. The magazine says Final Fantasy XIV for PS3 will have a menu that’s similar to the XMB menu.

Yoshida also provided an interesting statistic—the amount of fans that want the current version of Final Fantasy XIV to remain online after A Realm Reborn launches.
