The giving spirit is contagious. Sony caught the bug and is releasing a free Folklore add-on pack this week. The package contains a fuzzy, Santa-style jacket for Ellen, a merry sweater for Keats and the Grab bag folks that attacks with the power of holiday cheer. Actually, Keats gets two presents, the new quest [...]

By Spencer . December 4, 2007 . 5:52am

Months ago, Sony held a contest asking gamers in North America and Europe to create a custom creature for Folklore. Game Republic chose the fire-fearing, poison spore cloud dropping, Malion as the first place winner from Europe. In the future, the Malion will be released in a downloadable content pack just like Quasarilli, the [...]

Folklore hasn’t come out yet in North America, but Japan is already on their second downloadable quest pack. Like the first one the additional quest pack adds in four new missions and one new Folks to play with. Not a bad amount of content for 300 yen ($2.50) and Sony has been rapidly releasing [...]

Sony is releasing expandable quest packs for FolksSoul (aka Folklore in North America) and the first one just graced the Playstation Store. The catch is the download isn’t free; it costs 300 yen ($2.50). To be fair the price isn’t too much. For less than the price of a beer you get four quests, a [...]

By Spencer . July 23, 2007 . 5:26pm

After dropping the price of the 60 GB Playstation 3, Sony announced sales are up more than 135%. The sales increase is obvious news, but contained in the e-mail was a blurb with approximate release dates for some of their first party games. You probably already know Warhawk is due out in August and Heavenly [...]

The Tale of Folklore

By Rolando . July 8, 2007 . 10:51pm

It almost seemed as if JRPGs on the Playstation 3 wouldn't make an appearance in the console's early lifespan.
