Siliconera has learned that G.rev’s run and gun shooter Mamoru-kun Has Been Cursed is being localized under a slightly different name.
“In terms of our growth as a company, unfortunately there are several issues that have prevented our ability to expand and we are still a small company,” says G.Rev CEO, Hiroyuki Maruyama.
PlayStation 3 owners craving a shoot ‘em up should fire up their Japan region PlayStation Network account next week. Cyberfront, publisher of Mamoru-Kun on PlayStation 3, will release a demo on PSN.
Strania may be designed to feel like an 80′s style shooter, but the mecha you pilot has more weapon options than most arcade games from that period.
After you beat Strania with the Strania army, add on downloadable content lets you can switch sides and see the war from the Vower army.
First announced for Xbox Live Arcade, Seisou Kouki Strania will also be in Japanese arcades.
Cyberfront went beyond a standard arcade port and added widescreen mode as an option in the PlayStation 3 version of Mamoru-Kun.
Cyberfront is retooling arcade shooter Mamoru-kun for PlayStation 3. I said “retooling” since Cyberfront is adding features to the PS3 version like widescreen support.
Cyberfront is giving Mamoru-kun a new look on PlayStation 3. While the Xbox 360 version was a port of the arcade game, Mamoru-kun for PS3 is in widescreen HD.
One of G. Rev’s shooters is getting an expanded PlayStation 3 port care of Cyberfront.
Senko no Ronde developer G.Rev is skipping stores and going digital for Seisou Kouki Strania. Unlike other G.Rev games, this isn’t a port. Seisou Kouki Strania is built ground up for Xbox Live Arcade.
Before developer G. Rev brought Senko no Ronde Dis-United Order to Xbox 360 they announced downloadable side stories.
Senko no Ronde Duo isn’t exactly a shooter or a fighting game, it’s a mix of both. G.Rev’s game has players whittle down an opponent’s life bar with waves of bullets.
The Xbox 360 has a torrent of shooters and if you’re close to Akihabara you can preview the latest lineup on February 27. Shooting Festa 2010 is just two Saturdays away.
