Shin’en Multimedia developed a top-down GBA racing game that was never released. Take a look at it inside.
Recently, Siliconera caught up with Manfred Linzner, co-founder of Nanostray developer Shin’en to discuss the company’s past, present and future.
While Crash-Course Domo and White-Water Domo are new for us, they were originally part of a Game Boy Advance game.
Speaking of Rocket Company, they dabbled in strategy RPGs before focusing on English training games for the DS. Ultra Garrison: Monster Attack is their contribution to the genre and it’s like Super Robot Taisen with Ultraman.
Now that Siliconera has grown to include the voices of many talented writers, readers may want to know what these writers think about current issues in the game industry. Siliconera Speaks Up is a new weekly feature which highlights the different perspectives which make up the team of writers. This week’s hot question: The [...]
Thanks to two years of fan-translation efforts I finally had a chance to play Mother 3. After putting a handful of hours in, I’m amazed that no one at Nintendo wants to give the English-speaking world a chance to play this charming RPG. Without giving too much of the story away, the game is [...]
On June 12 the Banpresto label of Namco Bandai has another game in the Super Robot Taisen series coming to the PSP. However, if you own a Game Boy Advance and regularly import you may have seen Super Robot Taisen A Portable before since the game is really a remake of Super Robot Taisen Advance. [...]
Sting has Knights in the Nightmare scheduled to come out on July 17 in Japan and if you missed out on the previous Dept. Heaven episode you can get that with the DS game. The Knights in the Nightmare D.H.E. Special Pack includes the most recent Dept. Heaven entry and Yggdra Union for the Game [...]
Seven years ago Banpresto developed Super Robot Taisen Advance, which brought mecha from Nadesico and Gundam together for the first time. On June 19th, the Game Boy Advance game is getting is a facelift when it becomes a PlayStation Portable title. The comparison screenshots make the new version easier on the eyes, but this is [...]
Last year, I discovered an ESRB rating for Samurai Deeper Kyo, which was likely related to the anime series and a Game Boy Advance game published by Marvelous Interactive in Japan at the tail end of 2002. Without even an announcement from Destineer (the US publisher) the game slipped into stores in an unlikely [...]
While the Nintendo DS is popular in Korea, the Game Boy Advance was never officially released there. However, the PC is king and there are plenty of available emulators available that can play GBA games. Perhaps, one publisher (pirate?) saw an opportunity here because a store in one of the electronics malls in Yongsan had [...]
Visteon modified their Game Boy Advance automobile entertainment console and crammed it into the back of a headrest. The screen looks crisp, but it is unfortunately it uses the same awkward triangle shaped controller, which looks like one a large tri-color highlighters. I guess it's nice to play GBA games on a larger screen, but [...]
Kitsune Sniper pointed out something (thanks!!) I was absolutely unaware of. Atari snapped up the rights for Shin-Chan and released two Game Boy Advance games in Europe. Most European games get a multi-language release, but not the Shin-Chan games. Atari only localized them in Spanish and I think I know why. Shin-Chan has a devoted [...]
Three years ago Banpresto released a Shin-Chan game ripe with movie parodies. Crayon Shin-Chan: Arashi wo Yobu Cinema Land no Daibouken is a basic platformer where you take Shin through an action bastard themed first stage and jump on enemies. Banpresto is digging this up and shoveling it into Crayon Shin-Chan: Arashi wo Yobu Cinema [...]
