No more speed bumps or pit stops along the way…Gran Turismo 5 has a finalized release date.
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan initially pegged Gran Turismo 5 for March 2010. Today, SCEJ announced a delay and a “TBA” release date.
In addition to the March 25 release date for Japan more Gran Turismo 5 details are leaking out.
Geostore, a Japanese retailer, may have leaked release information for God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, and God of War Trilogy.
Gran Turismo rolls out on October 1st on disc and as a PlayStation Store download. SCEA announced both versions will cost $39.99. This is a shift from Sony’s strategy in Japan, which is selling downloadable versions at a discount.
Sony’s limited edition Gran Turismo PSP-3000 is quite similar to the Piano Black model. Check out these comparison photos and see the units side by side.
The PSP Go launch is just around the corner, but instead of heavily promoting that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is pushing the PSP-3000 with two new colors and eight bundles slated for this year.
The system has a pop up 3.8″ screen with the buttons underneath it, similar to a Sidekick. It’s 43% lighter than the PSP-3000, has 16GB of flash memory, bluetooth support, and no UMD drive.
A patent filed by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe details an invention where the PSP could be used to operate a remote car with a camera. The proposed system has the car, which is moved via a wireless link to a PSP system, capture the environment with a mounted camera. Visual data from the car’s [...]
I have a feeling I’m going to spending a lot of time with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Well, that is if I want to unlock everything in the game. I started the game with a Mini Cooper-S and the Ferrari F2007 feels so far away. At least I can race right away and earn money [...]
Remember drift mode, car tuning and other features that were announced as “new content” for the Western versions of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue? Yeah, well Japan gets them too through a 1540 MB “Spec II” update that went live over the weekend. I’m not complaining that Japan is getting new modes or anything like [...]
Out of the blue, Polyphony Digital is releasing a downloadable update for the Japanese version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Once the update is installed replays will not work and some saved data will be affected. This change sounds fairly deep if it’s going to render select information useless and Polyphony Digital has not announced [...]
Sony is really padding Gran Turismo 5 Prologue with extra content for North America. On top of car tuning and split screen racing Sony is adding acts like Weezer to the soundtrack. “Automatic” (LA Riots remix) is one of twelve new tracks exclusive to the North American version. Other new songs include “On Board” from [...]
Back at GDC we discovered the North American version of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue would get extra features not found in the Japanese version. I imagined something simple like more cars or extra tracks to race on. Earlier today, Sony Computer Entertainment America outlined the bonus features and we’re getting quite a bit of extra [...]
