Tomino-san went on to make a point that game developers today need to think about how to design games that don’t make consumers feel they are simply a pastime, but rather tools for productivity that don’t negatively impact our daily lives.
Sony is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Gundam (and the slim PlayStation 3 launch) with a hardware bundle.
Mirroring real life, a giant Gundam statue stands tall in Japan’s PlayStation Home. You can visit the (virtual) statue in Home Square from July 11 to July 23.
On March 26 Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna becomes Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna Portable. We’ve seen other arcade ports come to the PSP, but this one is rather unusual since Mobile Suit Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna has a pod-like arcade cabinet. Not sure how the novelty of sitting in [...]
The Gundam tap never runs dry at Namco Bandai Games. Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam came out like two weeks ago in Japan which means its about time for them to announce a new Gundam game. Mobile Suit Gundam: Gihren no Yabou Axis no Kyoui V is a follow up to Mobile Suit [...]
Speaking of bundles, Sony has three PSP-3000 packages scheduled to come out in Japan. The Patapon 2 Winter Gift pack is the only one directly from Sony and it’s bland. A plain PSP-3000 and Patapon 2 will set you back 23,800 yen ($238). A limited edition Gundam X Gundam Premium Pack is priced at 24,840 [...]
Shortly after Gundam Musou 2 was revealed Namco Bandai announces it will be published in North America under the name Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2. We have to wait until 2009 to get it, though. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 is scheduled to come out on December 4 in Japan. Surprisingly, Namco Bandai and Koei will release [...]
When Namco Bandai announced Gundam Musou, a strange mix of the Gundam universe with the Dynasty Warriors engine, it was only a PlayStation 3 game. Then it became an Xbox 360 game when it was announced as Dynasty Warriors: Gundam in North America and most recently it got a downgraded PlayStation 2 port. Namco [...]
In Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Gundam Meisters you get to take control of Gundam Exia, Gundam Dyunames, Gundam Kyrios, and Gundam Virtue, the four mobile suits used by the main characters in season one. This game is supposed to stay true to the first season instead of being an original story spin-off. Namco Bandai is [...]
Namco Bandai some downloads on the Xbox Live Marketplace for Mobile Suit Gundam: Operation Troy. They haven’t announced what they are yet, but it might be stickers to decorate your digital Gundam. As a promotion Namco Bandai will give out codes for gamers to download a set of decals to distinguish their Gundam during multiplayer [...]
Namco Bandai brought Mobile Suit Gundam: Operation Troy to E3 2006 and we haven’t seen much of the game since. I always found this silence awkward because I played it nearly two years ago. Unlike other Gundam games you aren’t limited to riding around in a mobile suit. You can run on foot as a [...]
I saw and skipped SD Gundam G Generation: Cross Drive last August mainly because I haven’t finished Super Robot Taisen W. There were a few concepts that caught my attention namely the touch screen squad system where you drag SD Gundam into custom formations. Cute mechs might be a plus for someone else. These features [...]
Namco Bandai is taking the lovable characters from Gundam, making them look younger and shoving them into the endless battle known as mahjong. I heard about the title before, but the screenshots from Dengeki Online are news. You start Gundam Mahjong + Z by picking a character, each one has a different scenario to play. [...]
