Meanwhile, Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s treasure was the best-selling new game for the week, but it still failed to beat out Mario Kart 7.
Heroes Phantasia from Namco Bandai blends together the popular Sgt. Frog series with the girls from Read or Die and the “annihilating second bullets” from s-CRY-ed into one PSP game.
Namco Bandai also added dozens of rival characters to the PSP anime crossover RPG including November 11 from Darker than Black, First Lieutenant Garuru, and the Tokonatsu sisters from s-Cry-ed.
Similar to Valkyrie Profile, each button controls a different character. Attacks draw energy from a common pull of action points. By pressing buttons at specific times you can send your characters into Overcharge state, which powers them up for battle.
Kururu is a playable character who can summon Kururobo as his special move. Dororo is also in the game with a deadly dimensional slash as his ultimate attack.
Famitsu confirmed Dodoro and Kururu from Sgt. Frog will be in the PSP game armed with kunai and robots.
Namco Bandai keeps adding anime heroes and heroines to the crossover RPG, Heroes Phantasia.
Plus more confirmed characters from Slayers Revolution, R.O.D. Read or Die, and Sgt. Frog.
