Nippon Ichi loves adding cameos so it’s not really a surprise to see crossover characters in Last Rebellion.

NIS America just set a timeline for Last Rebellion, a PlayStation 3 RPG from the makers of A Witch’s Tale.

Hyung-tae Kim, a manhwa artist known for his work on the Magna Carta games, is helping Nippon Ichi with Last Rebellion as a guest illustrator.

A Witch’s Tale, developed by Hit Maker and published by NIS America, falls into the neo-gothic surrealism category as well. It’s a turn-based RPG with a Halloween-esque setting surrounding princesses, witches and vampires.

Last Rebellion won’t make its winter 2009 release window, but the 3D action RPG is still coming out this winter.

Apparently, Last Rebellion *is* coming out this year, but not in North America. Nippon Ichi Software officially announced the game for Japan and slated their first 3D RPG for 2009.

I sampled A Witch’s Tale at E3 and I noticed the build was in English. A good sign that A Witch’s Tale is on track for an October release in North America.

Right before E3 kicked off, Nippon Ichi threw an event to promote their fractured fairy tale game, A Witch’s Tale, in Japan. They even got an Akihabara idol to dress up like the main character Liddell!

NIS America’s 3D console RPG, Last Rebellion, is slated to come out this October. In the game you play as Nine, a blade on a quest for revenge, and Aisha, a magical sealer.

NIS America and Dragoneer’s Aria developer, Hit Maker, are teaming up to make The Last Rebellion for PlayStation 3. Nine is an anti-hero and sword wielding “blade”. He is joined by female lead Aisha who is a “sealer” (read: magic user).
