New details about Neptunia V are out from Dengeki PlayStation leaks and the first bit is about Histoire, the fairy that knows all about the world of Gamindustri. She’s in Netpunia V in a 1989 form along with Kurorie.

Neptunia V (which actually takes place in the past) adds in a more recent video game icon – the Devil King from Square Enix’s Vita launch game Army Corps of Hell. He’s called Devil King sama in Netpunia V.

Compile Heart released three more screenshots from Neptunia V’s battle mode. That’s Neptunia above who traveled back in time to the Gamindustri of the ’80s.

Neptunia V takes place in the 1980s, technically before any of the other games in the series. You still play as Neptune and the story begins when she travels through time back to the past.

Dengeki PlayStation reports Neptunia V will be avaialble in Japan on August 30 and features a new group of enemies – the seven sages.

Keiji Inafune will make an appearance in Neptunia V as… a flying battleship.

At last, Gamindustri is at peace and the CPUs are kicking back. One day, Neptunia gets sucked into a different dimension that looks like… the 80s?

Neptunia V – that’s V for Victory – is in development for PlayStation 3.

Dengeki PlayStation unveiled Neptunia V (full title God Dimension Game Neptunia V) this week which has Mizuno reprising her role as producer and Tsunako as the character designer.
