Aside from publishing fighting games Arc System Works releases visual novels. Since Aksys is the primary source for Arc System Works games in North America I asked what they thought about the genre in North America.

Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles didn’t start the Tantei Jinguuji Saburo series on the right foot. Stories were cut from the Japanese version and the localization left a lot to be desired. Moves like this could end a series prematurely, but according to Nintendo’s spring 2009 lineup Aksys isn’t giving up on Jake Hunter yet.   [...]
