Talk about leveling up. According to his keynote at the Los Angeles Game Conference 2009, Atari founder Nolan Bushnell launched the company with only $250 in capital. This was in 1972. Five years later, they sold the company to Warner Bros. for $28 million dollars.

Nick Williams from OTX GamePlan announced the most anticipated games of the year, according to their polling: Xbox 360 gamers are clamoring for Halo 3: ODST, Final Fantasy XIII has the highest purchase intent of any PS3 title, and Wii gamers are by far most excited about Wii Sports Resort.

At the LA Games Conference 2009, industry experts agreed that game reviews from magazines are not nearly as important to potential consumers as other factors. Nick Williams, from the industry research firm OTX GamePlan, gave the example of MadWorld for the Wii.
