It looks like Square Enix have plans to release a smartphone version of Live A Live. Manga artist Yoshinori Kobayashi, who worked on some of the original game’s character designs, wrote a blog that mentions a mobile release.

Live A Live was a Super Famicom RPG told in chapters, each with a different hero to play as. One episode was like a Wild West movie. Another story was a sci-fi chapter similar to the anime film Akira. There was even a modern day chapter inspired by Street Fighter II.
