SNK wouldn’t pass on releasing a Metal Slug game here so it’s not a *huge* surprise to see Metal Slug XX rated by the ESRB.
SNK is developing Metal Slug XX for the PSP and like Metal Slug X it looks like a remix.
Metal Slug 7 was previously announced as an Xbox Live Arcade game, but it was missing from the latest Xbox Live Arcade list. So, I inquired about it.
SNK is converting The King of Fighters into a shooting game. Bizarre, but far from the first franchise SNK shoehorned into a different genre.
A few weeks ago SNK slipped Metal Slug Tactics onto mobile phones. The battle scenes make the game look a lot like Advance Wars with Metal Slug sprites. Also similar is [...]
SNK did a decent job of distilling the action part of Metal Slug into a portable game. Metal Slug 7 is exactly what you would expect from the series: fast and furious 2D shooting. SNK stuck to their formula by keeping Metal Slug 7 a 2D platformer without shoving any forced touch screen control. [...]

Taito is jumping on the Xbox Live Arcade ship with [...]

You can’t get access to it by normal means, but a gray area patch with a language selector is floating around. Superficially, this sounds [...]
Japan gets Metal Slug 7 next month, but don't bother importing it with the terrible Dollar to Yen exchange rate. Ignition Entertainment will co-publish the game with SNK Playmore one season later in fall 2008. The last build of Metal Slug 7 I played stuck to the comic shooting formula the series is known for [...]
SNK Playmore licensed the Metal Slug franchise to Dragonfly, a Korean MMO developer who recently licensed the Unreal 3 Engine. While Metal Slug Zero / Metal Slug Online has 3D graphics it doesn’t look like Dragonfly is using it for the Metal Slug Zero. Not much is known about the gameplay and the official [...]
