SNK wouldn’t pass on releasing a Metal Slug game here so it’s not a *huge* surprise to see Metal Slug XX rated by the ESRB.

SNK is developing Metal Slug XX for the PSP and like Metal Slug X it looks like a remix.

Metal Slug 7 was previously announced as an Xbox Live Arcade game, but it was missing from the latest Xbox Live Arcade list. So, I inquired about it.

There is a canned “interview” with SNK floating around used to promote the US version of Metal Slug 7 which Ignition will release on November 18. SNK describes some of the missions in combat school, outlines the new slugs, but doesn’t say anything substantial like outlining the differences between the Xbox Live Arcade release. [...]

Microsoft shared a small list of Xbox Live Arcade titles developed in Japan and I couldn’t believe Metal Slug 7 is on there written in plain English. Hmm… I wonder if Microsoft will keep the Cynthia dating scenes. The mission mode will be in there…

SNK Playmore licensed the Metal Slug franchise to Dragonfly, a Korean MMO developer who recently licensed the Unreal 3 Engine.
