Capcom is still celebrating Street Fighter’s 25th anniversary in Japan. The publisher announced a crossover with Monster Hunter Frontier Online, the online enabled PC and Xbox 360 game.

While Microsoft isn’t reaching out to Japanese developers like they did with Mistwalker and Q? Entertainment, they haven’t totally forgotten about Japan either.

Capcom is working on Monster Hunter Frontier Online Forward 5. This update scheduled for release on October 17 has a desert area and a new monster called Odibatras.

Between Valentine’s Day and August 31 specially marked packs of Pocky will contain a code for a Pocky saber for use in Monster Hunter Frontier Online.

While this package does not give players access to the whole game, the code for Monster Hunter Frontier Online allows players to play until they reach Hunter Rank 2.

In Japan, there’s an incentive for Monster Hunter fans to get Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition on Xbox 360.

Monster Hunter Frontier Online, originally made for PCs is coming to the Xbox 360 this summer. If you want to play it you’ll have to pay monthly fees, but Capcom and Microsoft came up with a clever deal.
