Since New Play Control! Metroid Prime 2: Echoes comes out in Japan in a few weeks we have screenshots for 1/3 of Metroid Prime Trilogy, the Metroid Prime 2 part that is.
No, this isn’t some sort of cruel joke. Nintendo of America is — in an uncharacteristically generous move — packing the entire Metroid Prime trilogy onto a single disc and publishing it for the price of $49.99 on August 24, 2009.
Like other games in the New Play Control! lineup Nintendo revamped Chibi-Robo with motion control. In this version you point with the remote and click to make the tiny robot move. Originally, players controlled Chibi Robo with the analog stick on a Gamecube pad.
Late last year Nintendo of Japan started re-releasing Gamecube games with motion control. On June 11 the Wii de Asobou (aka New Play Control internationally) will take a break when New Play Control: Chibi-Robo and New Play Control: Metroid Prime 2 Echoes come out in Japan.
