Nintendo of America have announced which Wii U games will be available on launch day in North America.
“We feel we focused too much on getting new action game fans and perhaps not enough on the fans who have supported the series for so long,” Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi said when introducing Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge.
The Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3 adds Dead or Alive’s Ayane as a playable character, and lets you use her in co-op multiplayer, too.
Tecmo Koei has four Wii U titles in the works including Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2.
“We re-examined what the series was, what the game was, what people want,” says Team Ninja head, Yosuke Hayashi.
Team Ninja head, Yosuke Hayashi, feels that Ninja Gaiden 3 may have been a misguided attempt to cater to western tastes.
Nintendo are willing to enter “unprecedented” partnerships with third-parties who come up with unique Wii U games, says company president, Satoru Iwata.
The first thing I noticed was how bloody Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge was. Players can chop off limbs and enemy soldiers will crawl on the ground after losing their legs.
Nintendo of America have released a partial list of Wii U games that are expected from various publishers in the near future.
Razor’s Edge bring bring back dismemberment, have six weapon types, more enemy types, and better AI.
While we don’t know the system’s release date, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will be ready.
