Tecmo Koei set March 20 as the release date for Ninja Gaiden 3 in North America. If you pre-order the game at Gamestop or Amazon you’ll get a code to download a Dead or Alive 5 demo.

The demo has two playable characters, but who you get to use depends on which console you’re playing Ninja Gaiden 3 on. Hayate and Ayane come with the PlayStation 3 version. Hitomi and Ryu Hayabusa are in the Xbox 360 demo.

While you aren’t Ryu, your custom ninja is a killing machine who can turn invisible and Falcon Dive into a fight. You can play Ninja Gaiden 3′s online mode with friends and you can also betray them.

“It seems like people are looking for a way to be a hero without being a dark hero. They’re looking for a nice way to do things, but with Ryu Hayabusa being a dark hero that is not who he is,” said Yosuke Hayashi.

Instead of monsters or demons, Ryu will fight humans in Ninja Gaiden 3. Some of them have magical powers like the Alchemist Forces and their leader, the Regent of the Mask.

Ninja Gaiden 3 begins in London where terrorists took control of the city and have the Prime Minister as a hostage. They don’t want to rule the world or even the United Kingdom, they just want Ryu Hayabusa.

“This time, we’re clearly designing Ninpo as a way to take out a lot of enemies at once,” say Team Ninja.
