After the photo of the AR Card appeared on the top screen along with the background, it suddenly became a rudimentary fortress, and I was playing a simple shooter.
If there were a “Demo of the Show” at Nintendo World 2011, Kid Icarus Uprising would certainly be mine.
There were 20 characters to choose from in the demo. Many series veterans were in the roster including Ryu Hayabusa, Ayane, and Tina Armstrong.
The Ridge Racer series is a staple of system launches, so it’s no surprise that the Nintendo 3DS too receives an incarnation of the popular drift-racing series.
The 3D felt highly immersive for such small device, with objects, such as animals, twigs and plants being moved aside as Snake crawled through the environments. Field depth is clearly present in the demo.
A very brief Resident Evil: Revelations demo was on-hand at Nintendo World 2011. Called a the “Pilot Version” in the title screen, the demo gave gamers a chance to see how the 3D effect would work and to experiment with the controls.
Capcom showed off three of their Nintendo 3DS games on the second day of Nintendo World.
