“Many of shooters today are called ‘Bullet Hell’ with lots of bullets targeting you on the screen. So, we adjusted bullet path based on the original Gradius for Otomedius Excellent,” said Koji Igarashi.

Don’t worry, Otomedius Excellent’s overseas release has not been scrapped. Sure Konami hasn’t said anything about Otomedius Excellent in months, but plans to publish the moe shooting game in North America are still on track.
Otomedius Excellent may have been delayed, but that only gives Konami more time to promote their gal-shooter.
Just in case you need to rapidly shoot out emoticons, Konami added a dial-an-emoticon system to Otomedius Excellent.
Konami set a date for Otomedius Excellent in Japan. Its release isn’t too far off either since the gals shooter will be in stores on March 24.
It’s been awhile since Konami has said anything about Otomedius Excellent, an Xbox 360 sequel to Otomedius Gorgeous. The gals shooter slipped past its fall release date without a peep.
Despite what Gamestop lists the game for, Otomedius Excellent isn’t $60.
