Remember the days when Irem cranked out releases like R-Type and Hammerin’ Harry? These days the publisher is pretty much a pachislot publisher, but at least Pachipara 3D: Ocean Story 2 has a homage to their glory days.

R-Type developer Irem’s bread and butter these days is a series of slot machine video games. While they aren’t making any new Hammerin’ Harry games, they haven’t totally forgotten about Gen-san.

Irem announced their first game for 2012 and it’s… another pachislot collection. Remember when Irem used to make games like Image Fight and R-Type? They do too and added some of their classics into Pachipara 3D: Ocean Story 2.
