It’s almost like a Tales of Vesperia reunion in Project X Zone.

Let’s say you have Dante and Demitri standing next to Kite and BlackRose standing next to each other. You can call them in for a support attack and have four characters attack at the same time.

Namco Bandai is putting together a deluxe package for Project X Zone.

Like Namco X Capcom, Project X Zone has original characters. Famitsu revealed Kogoro Tenzai (left), a detective who is a descendent from a ninja clan.

Imca from Valkyria Chronicles, Arthur from Ghosts’n Goblins are confirmed for Project X Zone.

In addition to allies from Tales, Street Fighter, and Sakura Wars, players will fight many enemies from other key titles too.

Most of the time, Project X Zone pairs characters together for battle scenes, which means the game will pick on theme at random. Use a special attack and Project X Zone switches the music to the song’s hook.

Project X Zone has some familiar locales. Monolith Soft didn’t just add characters from Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega games – battlefields are based on their titles too.

The latest Project X Zone characters come from Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, Sakura Wars, Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier, and Dynamite Cop.

The magazine confirmed two lead characters from Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier will be in the 3DS game along with Chun-Li and Valkyrie from The Legend of Valkyrie.

The game also has Frank West from Dead Rising and Hsien-Ko from Darkstalkers, two Capcom characters with bottomless pockets filled with items, working together. They can do combos like Item Throw & Anki Hou and Face Crasher & Chireitou.

Frank West from Dead Rising is also in Namco Bandai’s crossover title.

Ulala from Space Channel 5 is a bit different from other characters. Her attack, Tension Blaster, summons Opa Opa from Fantasy Zone and the dude from Space Harrier to attack. Then, Toma and Cyrille from Shining Force EXA continue the combo.

Most characters are in pairs like Street Fighter’s Ken & Ryu who can do a Shinku Hadouken & EX Hadouken special attack.
