Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey tackles the problem by introducing demon souls. If your relationship with a demon is good they may pass you their soul as an item when leveling up
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and its demon filled dimension has over 300 types of demons, more than any other Shin Megami Tensei game to date. This batch of screens shows a handful of them, some of which you may recall seeing in Devil Survivor.
Suddenly, a wasteland, a land of destruction, appears over the Antarctic. A team comprised of selected members from various nations is sent to the place to investigate, and so a journey, checkered with many ups and downs, begins.
A spatial rift appeared over Antarctica. Humans call the place it leads to “Schwarz-verse,” and exploring this mysterious dimension is your goal as the protagonist in Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
Atlus posted a new teaser site which has a scrambled picture and text like “we’re hope!” and “for the future of mankind, let’s do it!”. The game will be revealed on July 24, but I believe we can beat that.
