Silent Hill HD Collection came out on March 20 with noticeable bugs. Konami just released a title update to fix framerate and audio-synching issues, but unfortunately only PlayStation 3 owners will get the patch.

Konami say patches for both games will be released in the coming weeks.

Someone on Twitter showed Silent Hill art director, Masahiro Ito, a comparison between the older games and the HD collection. How did he react?

I’ve been playing Silent Hill HD Collection and Konami’s classic Silent Hill games are just as eerie as I remember. However, Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 aren’t exactly the same.

Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 were rated as standalone PS3 and Xbox 360 titles by PEGI, Europe’s video game rating board.

Silent Hill: Downpour follows with a March 13 release date and the multiplayer game Silent Hill: Book of Memories comes out for Vita on March 27.

The two game compilation was supposed to come out on January 24. Now it’s slated for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in March.

Konami recorded new voiceovers for Silent Hill HD Collection, but you can play Silent Hill 2 with the original recordings.

“By having it here in the West, plus using different developers we’re able to get a lot more ideas out in the open. It’s important to note, that Konami and myself on that end, we’re driving those games,” said Tomm Hulett.

“We didn’t want to give them something we weren’t sure they wanted 100%,” producer Tomm Hulett answered.

Yes, Silent Hill HD Collection is a multiplatform title. While it was only announced for PlayStation 3 and E3, Konami confirmed the compilation will also be available on Xbox 360. Creepy nurses and Pyramid Head for everyone?
