When I asked Tomm Hulett, Producer of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, what his goals were when designing the game he had loftier aspirations that went beyond re-imagining Silent Hill.
My interest in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories piqued when a Konami representative said, “the more you play it, the more it plays you.” Silent Hill: Shattered Memories reacts to your choices and actions, but how different is the experience?
Konami touts Silent Hill: Shattered Memories as an adaptive horror game. “The more you play it, the more it plays you,” a Konami representative said while I was playing.
The story in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is the same as the first Silent Hill game, but Konami promises this won’t be the same game. There are new paths to find, characters say different things, appear in other places, and if you get the Wii version the remote becomes a flashlight.

Konami hasn’t announced anything official about a PlayStation 2 port of Silent Hill Origins, but an image of semi-official looking box art is matriculating through the internet. Gamefly and Amazon posted it up with a floating March release window. Crisp box art doesn’t mean it’s definitely coming out, but don’t be surprised if it does! [...]
We’re sort of late with this rumor since Kotaku mentioned the possibility of a PS2 port last week, but now a second source suggests a PlayStation 2 version of Silent Hill Origins exists. Gamefly updated their database with the PlayStation 2 game tentatively scheduled to come out on March 31, 2008.
